Each session, we can help with small furniture, hand and power tools, clothing, textiles, appliances, and gardening equipment.
We also may be able to help with mobile phones; CD, DVD, or cassette players; bicycles; sewing machines; radios; PCs and laptops. For these items, we ask that you email details in advance, so we can be sure to have the support you’ll need. Please send make, model, a description of what’s wrong, and note any fixes you’ve tried (such as replacing the fuse), to hello@dairsierepaircafe.org.uk
Computing devices
If you have a problem with a PC, tablet, phone or laptop, please contact us before bringing it to a café. We may be able to assist or advise on basic fixes and data backup. If your device runs on Windows 10 (which is no longer supported by Microsoft and likely to become unstable), we can guide you to install Linux as a replacement operating system.
If your broken item is not listed here, drop us a line—we always like a challenge. Speaking of which, did you see the crowd of adults ‘supervising’ the repair of a Scalextric set brought to our October café??
